Bhalukpong Tourism

Bhalukpung is a small town located along the southern reaches of the Himalayas in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in India. The town is located at 213m above sea level, 100 km from Bomdila, 52 km from Tezpur and 5 km from Tipi. It lies along the Kameng river and is the headquarters of Bhalukpung circle. A road leads to Bomdila via the Tipi Orchidariurm, and the inner line check post is located at Bhalukpung. It has a railway station namely Bhalukpong Railway Station, connected to Rangiya Murkongselek rail line at Balipara. It has 3 platforms. One pair of trains runs daily to and from here.
Bhalukpong, sitting besides the sky-scraping Himalayas can be called as the mini wonderland of Arunachal Pradesh. The region overflowing by natural grace is blessed with swirling grassy carpet, lofty trees, glittering streams and remote hideouts. Place is not very much exposed to the outer world but one visit will create an uncontrollable lust to visit this heaven again and again.
The thick vegetation form trekkers and hikers delectation. Angling coupled with an overnight camp along the banks of River Kameng make an unforgettable experience. Pakke Tiger reserve with less influx of visitors has animals such as tuskers, deer, tiger, squirrels, monkeys, turtles etc. Hornbills and wood duck are commonly spotted among the avian flock.
