Along Tourism

Along is one of the old town of Arunachal Pradesh and is the headquarter of west Siang district. Set in a wide open valley where the Sipu river merges with Siyom against the backdrop of hills covered with snow during winters, it presents a panoramic view tot he delight of visitors. Along by night with hundreds of electric lights flickering and glowing over the broad valley looks like a wonderland from the top of the hills. It can be reached from Pasighat by bus or taxi in 4 hours. Along will offer you a quiet, pristine and refreshing experience with simple and subtle tourist spots including the widespread plantations and Mechuka Valley essentially defining the area, cross breeding farms such as the Mithun and Jersey Cross Breeding Farm, the Hanging bridge made of cane and bamboo over river Siang, tribal villages such as Tapi and Dark etc. Other attractions here include the Ramakrishna Ashram, Kamki Hydropower Dam as well as activities such as trekking, river rafting etc.
Arunachal Pradesh also known as Along. Aalo is the census town also headquarters to West Siang region. We all know Arunachal Pradesh covered with beautiful hills, though tourism is not much popular in this state. Because of such reason the state government is offering impressive packages to the visitors. Apart from climate issue people of Arunachal Pradesh are very co-operative. However, to reach Aalo you have to cover a day and 220 km distance from Likabali city that is a border of Assam and Arunachal.
