Malana Tourism

Malana is a tiny paradise of India nestled amidst the towering Himalayas and bordered by the Parvati Valley in the north-east and Kullu Valley on the other side, lying in the shadow of the Chanderkhani and Deo Tibba. This ancient village near Kasol is known as the oldest republic in the world and has its own set of government and lawmakers. The Malana people believe they have pure Aryan genes and are the descendants of Alexander’s Army.
The local assumption is that Jamlu Rishi, a deity worshipped by the pre-Aryans, lived in Malana and he is the one who set up the rules and traditions of the place. This village shelters a thousand tribal people, who are unique in their clothing and dialects, and lives in little huts with stone roofs. Malana is world famous for trading the high-quality and illegal hashish, Malana Cream. Even though the tourists haveto register themselves before entering Malana, this Himalayan Village provides the perfect getaway destination for hipsters.
