Day 1 : Travel & browse for the Wedding : Airport Pickup, Delhi City Tour, Transfer to Groom’s House/Hotel We will pick you at the airport.
Delhi city has its own majestic and rustic appeal. There is so much to gather in memory, mind and suitcase here. There is the lot to eat too, but we will leave it out for the first day. Post the Delhi city tour we will transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 2 : Pre Wedding Warm Up : Shopping for the event, Mehndi Night, Ladies Sangeet, DJ night, Cocktail party.Now when in India dress like an Indian, yes, we just adjusted that proverb. The Indian wedding clothing is an industry by itself. You can pick a full Indian suit like Kurta Pajama or the Grand Sherwani. If you are a lady, you are already luckier as the option is multifold. The gold or artificial jewelry, the Jhoomka’s, the necklaces, the bangles. After all, both of you want to be as attractive as the other participants in Ladies Sangeet (An all women musical teaser) or DJ Night or the Cocktail party. You got to be the best dressed person around. Mind you, there is a lot of competition. On Mehndi night get your hands and feet adorned with henna. The professional ladies, create dramatic designs that unfold into beautiful red and orange patterns the next day. You are now fully ready to attend the Indian wedding. What would be an Indian wedding without the Dhol beating (wooden drum) and dancing? Laughter in the air and dance floor throbbing with every age group swaying bodies. The music is an integral part of the Indian wedding, and all ceremonies have the Dhol infusing rhythm in the festivity.

Day 3 : The Booking : Sagan Ceremony/Engagement evening Now that you have got used to the Indianisms around and have picked your dress and also henna designs on hand and feet, here is the first ceremony to show up and show off. The ceremony of Sagan or Shagun is an evening ritual just before the wedding day. The father of the bride to welcome the groom and family with an auspicious saffron Tilak (dot). The groom and family members receive gifts. The party is hosted by the groom’s family.

Day 4 : The Big Day: Pre-noon- Haldi Ceremony The 4th day is the big day of the wedding. It starts with pre-noon Haldi ceremony. The Haldi (Turmeric) is mixed with sandalwood powder and milk or rose water. The ritual happens independently in bride and groom’s respective homes. They apply this paste on face, hands, feet by the relatives. It is accompanied by traditional songs and dances sometimes. The turmeric brings all of auspicious, antiseptic, beautification significance to the ritual.

Day 5 : Early Morning Doli, Taron Ki Chaon Mein - Vidai, transfers to the Airport Now it is time for the bride to leave her parental home for her new home at the groom’s place. The ritual, happens in the early hours of the morning just before the spread of beautiful stars shining in the sky fade away. The exit or vidai or goodbye traditionally used wooden “Doli” ( a wooden box) carried by brothers uncles. However, now the Dali happens with modern cars whisking away the bride. Keep lots of tissue paper handy as this is an intense emotional event where even the watchers break into tears.
